Included in this Word of The Day or Week Vocabulary Resource:

➡️ 50 Word of the Day / Week Presentation Slides: Use this 50-slide PowerPoint Presentation to introduce the new vocabulary term for that day or week. The slides provide that vocabulary term's part of speech, pronunciation, definition, and an example of the word in use. The presentation slides can also be printed and are eye-catching posters to display in your classroom.

➡️ Bell-Ringer Presentation Slides Option: These slides allow students to interact with the new words. Each slide includes the word used in a sentence. Students must determine the meaning of the word based on the context. Once they have inferred and guessed its meaning, simply click and the definition will appear.

➡️ Word of the Day / Week Title Posters: If you want to display the word of the day or week as a poster in your classroom, use these title posters to display each of the posters underneath.

➡️ Words Quick Reference Lists: Use these lists to easily keep track of which vocabulary words were covered each week. This is also useful to give to students to help them stay organized.

➡️ Word Cards Response Assignment: Have students complete this word card response assignment after you introduce a new vocabulary word. They will need to find synonyms and antonyms on their own and write their own sentences using the word!

➡️ Vocabulary Quizzes: Use these five fill-in-the-blank quizzes either every two or every ten weeks (depending on if you choose to do word of the day or week). Answer keys are included!

What Teachers Are Saying About This Word of The Day or Week Vocabulary Resource:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I love this resource. It is flexible and provides multiple options for use. It also provides slides for teaching as well as the assessments. My students love practicing their new vocab word each week. Thank you! I highly recommend!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I use this for "Word of the Week" with my grade 8 students. They love writing out a sentence that includes a teacher from the school. We post it on our bulletin board outside the classroom, and weekly, the teachers come by to see if any students have written about them!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I can always count on Presto Plans whenever I need a refresh of my bellringers. Her slides look great and she includes student handouts, just in case. I have an older volume of Wednesday Words, but I like this version of the Word of the Week bellringers because there is a set of slides with more detailed definition content (as well as a set of slides with just the definition and an example). Plus, there are blank vocabulary note-taking cards for students to use if you want to photocopy a stack for them.
