Figurative Language Bell Ringers and Tasks - Literary Devices Digital Activities: These digital activities engage students in labelling metaphor, simile, oxymoron, personification, alliteration, and onomatopoeia in high-interest passages. Each week, students will receive a new digital paragraph that integrates examples of figurative language, prompting them to identify the literary devices used. Foster a consistent and interactive learning experience with digital figurative language bell ringers that not only reinforce key concepts but also make literary devices language an integral part of the weekly routine.
This is a digital resource, and students complete all the work on the computer. This works well with distance learning, 1:1 classrooms, remote teaching, Google Classroom, or online education.

I switch out every five weeks or so with skills that range from vocabulary, writing strategy reviews, grammar, and different literature skills. My students cannot wait until we rotate back to this. It's fun and it reviews figurative language that we sometimes don't have time to in our normal class time.
