Christmas Digital Writing Assignment - Elf Interview Holiday Winter Writing Activity: This holiday season, use your students' Christmas excitement to have them do some creative writing. This digital Christmas writing assignment has students play the role of a newspaper reporter for the Christmas Chronicle who must conduct an interview with Santa's lead elf. This is an excellent Christmas lesson, and the students always get very creative with their responses!
This is a Google-compatible activity, and students complete all the work on a device. This works well with distance learning, 1:1 classrooms, remote teaching, Google Classroom, or for online education.
Included With This Elf Interview Christmas Writing Assignment:
➡️ Elf Interview Student Slide: Give students this slide that explains the assignment with the backstory (the student is a respected reporter for the Christmas Chronicle and is tasked with conducting an interview with Santa's head elf about Christmas preparations at the North Pole). Students must transcribe their "conversation" interview style, being sure to create questions that focus on "who, what, where, when, and why". There is also a section on the slide where students can brainstorm their questions.
➡️ Two Elf Interview Digital Writing Templates: Students can use one or both of these 2 eye-catching digital templates to write the transcript of their interview for their boss at the Christmas Chronicle.
